Your comment wasn't bad per se. The problem op has, and sometimes it's hard to find the right words when your new to standing up to mil, is that her mil infantilizes op and tries to parent her new baby.

Op says as much in her post if you look closely at how she describes her mil's behavior in the past.

Mil wanting to hold and comfort op's baby because it reminds her of her son isn't the problem. Mil is trying to parent op's child, as evidenced by the diaper changes.

Do you have a toxic relative in your life,.because a lot of times, these posters might not describe a heinous justno but more of a death by a thousand paper cuts. You don't see a major problem with op's mil, but op feels angry enough by all of mil's past bullshit, she posted her grievances on Reddit.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge if I were you. Maybe you should ask more questions about op's history with her justno before you jump on the anti Dil justnotruth bandwagon.

And it doesn't take a village to raise a child. Especially when there are crazy mils running the village.
