Anyone try Kerma MK7 Golf tune?

You will be happy with the performance. Kerma is doing something funky to inflate the fuel economy numbers seen on the dash. I'm also getting the occasional EGT limiter code thrown with his tune. I've been working with him since November when he initially sold me a tune. There was very little difference between it and stock, and when I questioned him about it he got upset and had me send back my Qloader for a full refund. I bought the Malone tune from fixmyvw.com and was happy with that. A few weeks later Charlie from Kerma contacted me about trialing a tune he was working on for free. I think we're on version 7 or so as of today. At times Charlie can be evasive when questioned and I don't believe he's being honest with me. There are issues with his tune including occasional codes, slow warm up, and the wonky MPG numbers that don't match reality. I've recently questioned him about these and received a vague response saying he'd work on it. Malone won't remap my tune until I get the DSG issue resolved. Until that code is ready, the Malone tune for my car is somewhat neutered, but safe. Once my DSG is tuned, Malone will review a 3rd gear log file and remap to the tune to my preference. So it is hard for me to fully compare the two tunes. Charlie's (kerma) approach is to just max everything out at this point without data logging and hope all is well. I can't support that and his evasiveness when questioned gives me pause.

If I was to recommend a tuner at this point, it would have to be Malone. I simply don't trust Charlie and after he figured out he wasn't going to "buy" me with a free tune, he's been a bit difficult to work with. I think he thought I would run around the forums giving him rave reviews (you'll see people doing this if you look, I'm sure I'm not the only guy he's tried to buy.) I would recommend going through Andrew at fixmyvw.com as he has been great to communicate with. Malone isn't going to risk cooking someone's turbo to sell a few more tunes. At this point I don't know if I can say that about Charlie.
