Gen 2, 3.0 TDI Touareg - Aux. HPFP took a shit, VW of A said "Phuck your couch".

As of yesterday, June 29th, 2017:

According to local VW dealership; "You have to contact Corporate, they should issue you full reimbursement if what you say is true and you have all the documents showing what was done." - Which I do.

According to the TDI "Diesel-gate" department representatives;

"Unfortunately our 'extended warranty' on your vehicle DOES NOT take effect until AFTER we install the approved fix, which keep in mind, isn't approved yet.".

I went on to seek an explanation for how they felt an aux fuel pump being defective only miles (well below 50k miles on my Touareg CURRENTLY) after the original factory warranty expired would be something that isn't/shouldn't be covered and the individual I spoke with kindly replied;

"If it were up to me, I'd cover the repairs for you, but it's not, so I can't. I'm sincerely sorry.".

"Sorry" doesn't pay the bills you scandals.

I did however discover/confirm that I actually CAN opt-out of the class action settlement still, if that's my prerogative, and choose to sign with a separate law firm. As long as I understood that IF I did make such a decision, that there would be no possibility for me to be re-included back into the original Class-Action. Essentially saying that if I do go with another legal team, I'm completely at the mercy of their competence.

Furthermore; I confirmed that if I did take them to court outside of the Class-Action, that I could file the lawsuit in my local county since that's where my vehicle was sold and that's also where I reside.

Starting to think - Even if I was crazy enough to go forward as Pro Sé litigant (self-represented), that I'd be able to yield a better result than this truly insulting "offer" they've "afforded" me/us.

Unbelievable, truly.
