Bill and Ted find a trans-dimensional device that sends them to a world with Jay and Silent bob, and together they have to travel back in time to save Harold and Kumar.

....only to hear from someone - "Oh, Boy. Al?"

And good sir, you may have good notes for me on my TV series idea based on the life of Christ.

All at the end of his life.

Premier (2 hours) The Last Supper - Christ, and all the rest are there having dinner, enjoying themselves.
Unknown to them, the innkeeper, providing them with service, is fresh from a funeral where half of her family died, and her desire that they lived again, combined with her hate for the miasmas and plague that had killed them, catches the notice of something dark (leave it mysterious, though people may think it's Satan, at times hints will fall that it's actually God, also letting us know his plan to take advantage of her desire to be with them). Well, they do rise again and stumble home, only to attack everyone living in the building along with the people they killed on the way.
Christ takes the lead and defends his apostles, being bitten, but not killed by the many creatures that attack before he can violently slay them with the sword (upside down cross) he wields along with his mystical Eastern martial arts. As the Romans arrive to solve what's going on, they find Christ covered in blood and gore, and mistakenly assume he was the ravaging murderer of all those people - a fact Judas supports as he shushes everyone else at the gathering after the Romans threaten to put them all up on a Cross... Flash forward, Christ dies on the cross and is buried.
But then, over the coming days, we see him change, and the poisons within him take control. Unlike the other killed by the risen family, the poisons from the bite adapted to his body and had time to thrive and take over. And three days later, episode ends with the stone being pushed aside and Zombie Christ emerging...

Season 1 The apostles are each visited by Zombie Christ as he tries to take revenge for their, as he, instinctively sees it, betrayal.
Christ also seems focused on finding Mary Mag.; his memories (flashbacks) fighting with the zombie influence. Just as he's about to catch her in the first episode, good Christ takes control and checks his death blow, allowing her to escape.
M.M. goes to the next apostle and so on through the successive episodes, all of them collecting over the 13 episodes of the season until they are a team...calling themselves "Templars" (insert logical reason), all of who are vowed to stop Christ, but never to harm him (well, permanently). Each episode sees Christ fighting the demon controlling him, in some way saving his peers/Mary at the last moment.
The Apostles use their various unique fighting skills/tricks (from brute force to trickery to alchemy) to keep Christ from killing people until that final episode of the season where they finally capture him (and form the Templars). In each episode, we're treated to flashbacks of Jesus and each apostle together in some situation that provides meaning to their strong relationship...Judas lies about his, and the reasons for his betrayal, but we see the real reason - Jealousy over Jesus and Mary Mag...who we finally find out were getting married that fateful night of the Last Supper in that first premier episode.

Season 2 onward The Templars are migrating around a lot, gaining members here, and losing them there. Christ is taken-with for safety (and kept hidden in a large golden box), but often escapes (killing those new members now and then), and starts killing, blindly searching for Mary. Depending on circumstances, other strange creatures are born (vampires, werewolves, etc) as the seasons progress. In Season 7, expect to see future time-traveling Jesus come back to fight himself before returning to the future.
In Season 8, the dark presence will be revealed.
