Blade Wings [R/F] (Post-GBT09+promos)

I've played a lot of Blade Wings, but I haven't gotten to play with weretiger yaeger yet and that card changes things. The three biggest problems with my current deck in order are 1 I) can't draw enough cards 2) I have nothing to sink counterblasts into 3) Even with 8 grade 3's and 4 stride fodder I still have issues paying for stride sometimes (sometimes you get 6 grade 3's in soul feelsbadman). Weretiger Yaeger in theory solves these issues, which is why I'm eager to test it. Anyway here are my thoughts in order by grade.

Grade 0:

There is the classic debate of Ordonnaz vs. Assassin but there are a few other options Devil in Shadow and Greedy Hand. My preference is Ordonnaz as starting vanguard and then 2 Assassins in main deck. The deck has so much soul charge (like you said) that you usually get at least one copy into soul by second stride and a 20k booster/Attacker for free is pretty good. Trigger lineup looks good. I run one eyed Succubus crits because they help make better numbers when you Stride SF Scharhrot without losing hand advantage but it's not an essential card. Also currently I run Hysteric Shirley and no Monochrome but that's simply because I need the draw. Since Yaeger should mostly fix your draw issues I'd assume Monochrome is much better.

Grade 1:

4 Darkness PG, Creeper, and Yaeger are pretty self explanatory but if you want more room for the final grade 1 you could cut one creeper I guess. You could also make an argument for the blade wing Quintet wall (I'm running 2 alongside 2 PGs) but with Yaeger I think the 'PG is better. For the last grade 1 currently I'm running Edge because you can call him and won't lose guard from hand because you can intercept. However, if cards in hand is no issue you are correct, Doreen is very potent in this deck. I think you honestly need to test both.

Grade 2:

I like this lineup. If I ever swap out one of these grade 2's I always end up putting them back in, they're really solid. Not much else to say except I'd agree swapping librarian for SoA if you need more darkness units and if you need to cut down to 11 grade 2's I'd cut 1 Doppel.

Grade 3:

I hate original Reijy. He's such a cool card but so underwhelming in the current deck. I run Scharhrot as my backup but if my deck had enough Darkness cards I'd totally run Glanzend. I was running him before but I didn't have enough Darkness cards in deck so I took him out. Recurrence is a vanilla 11k with Blade Wing in name so while I don't run him I can see why you would.

Grade 4:

SF Scharhrot costs money and I only have one, but I would run 2 if I could. 3 seems a bit excessive but I'm not sure. Have you felt all 3 necessary before in games? You should let me know. I run 2 Ericrius right now (instead of the SF Scharhrots) which lets me stride over Scharhrot/Glanzend and not instantly lose but also if I know I'm against an opponent that I need to play slow against and possibly win through deckout (cough cough angels) I'll first stride Ericius to save my Tibolds and get more recycle value later. For G guards I agree with not running Dizmel and Scryew, there's not much point except maybe guarding VMAX. I do however like two Agrat Bat Mahlat. The little trick you mentioned of Getting yourself back up to 15 soul with the soul charge 2 wins me games. I like a 2-2 split, 2 bat 2 Germain.

These are just my opinions but I play an extremely defensive Blade Wings. Hope this helps somewhat.
