Boring sock stuff

Ok, I am probably going to regret this because I swore to myself that I was done engaging in this stupid argument. But on the slim chance that I've misjudged you and you are actually interested in working this out and looking at the numbers together, I'll try to explain myself and maybe we can reach some common ground.

I don't know what point you were making in posting names occurring in only about 1/10 of the total segments. You refused to answer.

The point that I was getting at was that, despite what you may think, I actually did take the time to go through all of the posts and count up the number of top posters that I would consider to be guilters for each week. I can't make you believe that I was coming from an honest place when I did it, but I was.. I don't know what else to tell you.

When I made those tallies, that actually took some time and effort, as I'm sure it did for you too. So when we came up with different numbers, you responded with insults whereas I was interested in understanding why there was a discrepancy in our totals. To me, it was obvious that either you were fabricating numbers, or more likely, we had a much different definition of "guilter" which I think may be the reason for this misunderstanding. My solution to this misunderstanding was to post the list of people in the top 50 from the first week on your list (since you tend to put them in reverse order) that I did not consider to be guilters.

Since you thought that there were only 10 non-guilters from that week, I wanted to understand which 10 posters we disagreed on to get an idea of where you were coming from. But you refused to give me a direct answer, wanted to move on to something else and then started ordering me to do a bunch of other work you. I explained to you why I didn't want to list out all of the people that I didn't consider to be guilters for each and every week, because that's a lot of freaking work and you're giving me nothing in return. I have nothing to prove to you. My only interest in this was to understand where you were coming from, and (wishful thinking, I know) maybe help you understand that there isn't a grand conspiracy going on here. I thought maybe if you saw that the numbers aren't as outrageous as you seem to think they are, maybe you would see the other side for what they are - humans.

All you had to do was answer me about that one week, and I could have understood your perspective and perhaps we could have collaborated on doing the rest of the analysis that you're asking for. Honestly, I'm a numbers person and this is interesting to me too, but I have no desire to be continuously insulted and bossed around. If you decide to change your tone/overall demeanor, stop seeing me your enemy, and actually want to work together, then let me know. Or you can continue to be adversarial and write your big exposé about the government funded guilters, and I'll be there with the numbers to refute your claims when you do. I've already started adding the number of comments for the top 50 posters for each week and categorizing them by "guilter" vs. non-guilter. I'm up to the week of may 8th so far.

PS- that list of 20 posters that I made was never intended to be the ONLY 20 non-guilters. The names of top posters varies quite a bit from week to week, and you know that, and I know that. So just subtracting from that list of 20 each week, and using that as proof of something is such a joke. We're both smarter than that, so please stopping kidding yourself.
