It has everything to do with that that because they didn't need to make the changes. They went out of their way to do it.

It'd be like if Lord of the Rings had made Pippin black, Legolas bisexual, and Aragon an emotional rollercoaster.

How does that improve the story. You being able to find reasons to enjoy it doesn't make it an improvement. Tell me why you think those changes are better than what was in the book. If it's not an improvement, then how do you justify the change? That's a genuine question. The reason I say it's an injection of woke culture that has no place in the story is because I can't think of any other reason for a change that had to have been made knowing it was diminishing the quality of the story. So, please. I'd love to hear why you think these changes made it better.
