there's a difference between what you are suggesting, and what OP is.

having direct methods of farming for specific weapons = good. but weekly resets for weapons is a bad idea, if anything the vendors should just have (x) amount of resets to buy a curated roll per season, like gambit with rocket and trust.

this communiity BEGGED for bungie to implement random rolls to weapons to give the game some sustained replayability. having vendors sell unique rolls each week would throw all of that away

weapons should be earned, not bought from vendors
