BTCE Latest Update#5 from Admin On Bitcoin Talk: Translated from Russian.

I fully agree. FYI, it was not easy to get EUR onto BTC-e either and definitely a lot harder than onto Bitstamp, just to come up with an example. The ones who sent fiat to BTC-e bank accounts are either legal and identified or completely stupid. Anyone would only send fiat there to buy cryptos and not to keep it there for long.

The numbers you were giving are quite impressive and it looks like a pretty good guess. Why are they so quiet about the exact amounts of fiat seized? And if $350M were seized: wouldn't the Feds just seize $120M which was the total fine? At least in most European countries, the accounts will be blocked entirely and once you sign the transfer slip of the amount seized to the authorities, the account(s) will be unblocked again.

Mayzus is extraordinarily eager to point out that they had no relationship to the owners of BTC-e. But somehow they seem affected by the fate of their fellow citizens and business partners. Why don't they come up with a few numbers? All they do is protect a non-transparent deal. In fact it looks like Mayzus had a bigger role before and might still have it. And if I had to speculate: I would say the Feds know about Mayzus role and were actually aiming at them and not BTC-e....
