Dak is trash

I'm fine with looking for a replacement franchise QB in upcoming drafts. Having said that, I don't think we've had a draft pick that would have let us pick up someone like Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, or even Lawrence (and the 49ers are having to develop him).

As for Dak's play being inconsistent, that's true. He's been in the league long enough that he shouldn't be letting emotion effect his game, but then last week we saw the GOAT on tilt due to getting emotional. It is a real problem for playoff games even with veterans.

The play-calling was a lot of stuff that is pretty good against both cover 2 and man but the timing has to be perfect and Bosa and Warner kept hurrying the pass so that Dak was having to run during that single second passing window. Scramble drill is supposed to cover this, but our receivers weren't getting truly open on the side of the field Prescott was flushed out too. Prescott should still not have thrown some of those balls and he needs to practice throwing on the run as his accuracy was inconsistent. . . but that seems to be nerves. He can make those throws when the team is winning.

I've also seen most of these plays before. I'm sure the 49ers have too. Having played Madden has taught me to look for plays based on lineups too and I could tell you the likely routes of any play based on where Lamb was lined up. That's frustrating to me because the 49ers are strong against everything but medium to long passes. We should have been making them keep their safeties back instead of stacking the box by throwing deep. Put the fullback in for extra blocking and have Prescott drop back and bomb. Then we could have still hurt their secondary with some TE drags and dagger plays. Make Warner pay if he neglects coverage to rush the passer or commits to the run. They were in Kellen Moore's head the whole game and that's a problem because I'm not a professional and I was too. He knows how to disguise an offense for trick plays and that's great, but you can't let the other team narrow down the passing routes that much based on lineup. That's why they're rarely open.
