Dear John (Smedley). an open letter.

Stop. Just.. stop. -1 for the "it's alpha" gibberish. I've had about my fill and I'm going to take a moment to make that clear.

This post isn't about incomplete content, nor is it about lack of content. Hell, it isn't even about buggy content.

It's a grievance with hackers. You know, shit that shouldn't happen in any game, much less be so fucking prevalent every day since launch. DGC continues to spin stories of their proactive approach to the hacking but it's a load of shit. After witnessing hackers have the entire server population at their knees for 12+ hours, I'm done affording DGC any benefit of the doubt. Guys like "FormdBeast" and his clan of halfwit assclowns will likely have their way with the community for many more days before they're forced to buy another copy of the game which only results in.. *gasp*!.. more money for DGC. Yeah, right now I have my tinfoil hat on and it feels pretty damn tinny.

There was never any disclaimer for "you're bound to die by hackers incessantly because we don't know how to fix our shit". They never offered a forewarning that their client would be so susceptible to a myriad of crashes, just because today is fucking Friday. No, they warned us of issues with incomplete content. They didn't bother to disclose that there would be invisible ninjas floating around the map whimsically, snatching loot and hopskotching a pound of lead into your ass before you can react.

The whole Early Access gimmick is a scam at best. We're paying to do their jobs for them. Be sure to show me the notarized waiver you signed when you signed up to become a fucking lab rat for $40. See how silly that sounds? It's amazing that so many of us bought into the bullshit that Smedley and his crack team was peddling, that we felt $20-$40 was a sensible investment. For every day that passes and H1Z1 continues to be plagued by hacks and hack-ers, it begins to feel more and more like a cash grab than a project with an actual future.

I'm not saying H1Z1 isn't going to launch. It will, and it'll certainly be free-to-play. It'll just be a launch without an overwhelming majority of the people who made the unfortunate decision to pay to play this game in a vain attempt to enjoy reasonable gameplay, that only resulted in being harassed by hackers that DGC is inherently incapable of removing.

I'm just fed up with the enabling by some of the less fortunate on this site. Those who clearly can't put an objective opinion together outside of what DGC spoon-feeds you on social media.
