I had a similar thought. It's very basic and not at all imaginative or creative. It's like some grade school shit.

I also really wonder why it stayed in the book. I bet his real-life persona is the same as his online persona. He truly believes he's better than everyone and he can't take criticism. His wife writes for a living and I'm sure he has an editor. Surely one of them would have told him that "Fonald Plump" really isn't that funny. But that's probably been tried before and they were told that they just didn't know how funny it really was, child. Or some other equally stupid response.
