As a kid, I lived in southern California, and they were #1 on my list. About 10-15 years ago (at that point, a resident of Colorado) I was excited to hear In-n-Out had expanded to the Arizona area. At the time, I asked a friend of mine, who had been to both Arizona and California area locations, to give me some feedback, and he said the one in Arizona was horrible (quote: "In-n-Out in name only"). Later, I went back to the location in San Diego, and they were still really, really good. I had my then girlfriend along for the visit (who had never tried them) and, to my surprise, she wolfed hers down (She was a tiny girl, who usually "ate like a bird"). So, I kept wondering if the thing about Arizona's In-n-Out being subpar was just a fluke. However, over the years, I've had a number of people tell me the same thing about their quality (one guy I know went as far as trying a couple of different locations there).

Point being, I'm sitting the fence on this one.

On the one hand, I'm excited at the prospect of a good burger (just down the street, no less). On the other hand, I suspect they're going to be low quality here, as well.
