Hey Entrepreurs! It's Christmas, and I'd love to build you a web site, a mobile app, or whatever software/hardware combination you fancy. Best of all - I'm going to do this for next to nothing!

I don't want to be mean, especially because it's Christmas, but as always please be very careful when dealing with people online.

It's noble to want to help people, but it can go wrong very fast.

Anyone wanting to deal with OP, please note:

  1. There was an issue with OP's website that I pointed out below. Anyone with a screen wider than 1600 pixels will have noticed it and I personally expect any professional business I deal with to have checked this kind of thing while developing a website with any of the existing free "website screenshot" services.
  2. When OP replied to the initial issue in #1, he said he had no idea it wasn't set to cover. After Googling for a minute, it turns out he's using the free Wordpress theme Ward by c.bavota. So I find it weird that he'd mention being from the "old age of tables" while this isn't necessarily relevant.
  3. OP is not c.bavota. c.bavota's actual website is bavotasan.com.
  4. He mentions running into issues a few months ago with this business. The domain name "codernoel.com" was only registered on the 23rd of March 2015. While this technically qualifies as "a few months ago", any new business can expect to have to work hard for its first 6 months to 3 year (depending on the industry). So in my personal opinion, it's a bit early to play that card.

As a side note:

  • The domain codernoel.com is registered on Michael Kimsal's name (this is public info from the DNS Whois). Assuming this is OP, you can find his personal website here, which is a more personal approach that I actually prefer (I like seeing who I'm working with, no need to hide this).
  • His personal domain name michaelkimsal.com has been registered since the 20th of June 2005. Lots more trustworthy!
  • OP's post history seems to match his personal website and what he's saying here. So again, I'm not trying to get anyone mad :) Just make sure to know who you're dealing with.

Please remember this is only a small compilation of information. I didn't post this to incite any kind of action, rather to give you all the information so you can make a (fully) informed decision.

As always, make sure both parties know exactly what is being asked and what will be made for what price.

OP is offering cheap work for Christmas and if it ends up helping anyone and it all goes well, then perfect!
