i feel like y'all kinda misunderstood me, i'm saying best friends, both should be equal & accepting each other from the start

as in, they already are on the same wavelength and don't need to set boundaries cause one of them is on another or overstepping the lines of it

nobody would end up as a door mat, because you already know and trust that person not to overstep, and vice versa, equal (not an imbalanced power dynamic)

to me that's a best friend and the relationship one has with their best friend

so i wonder how is it your best friend, if you need boundaries?

(i understand your definition of best friends & their relationship might not be as tight tho)
