hi I'm half ethnically Scandinavian. my mom is full. my maternal grandmother was born of Norwegian immigrants in Minnesota where my mom was raised. my grandpa was American but all his grandparents were from Denmark. I've been reading ppl say it's appropriating when Americans say they're Scandinavian

Your family history is Lebanese and Irish. Your NATIONALITY and citizenship is American. There can be multiple faucets and identities of a person.

My nationality and culture if you call American that is American. Specifically a white American woman if I must be categorized.

But historically, biologically, ethnically, genetically, ancestrally, I am Scandinavian Irish and Ashkenazi. Why's this fact such an offense and why are you and so many others fighting it? Even w the visual evidence?

I've even been told I LOOK Scandinavian but actual Scandinavian ppl. These ARE my roots. I didn't crop up out of nowhere. And yes Americans are a melting pot or mixed bag. We are diverse. We all descend from different places. Most Americans are multi ethnic groups. But we have a to learn and explore and state our genetic and family history.
