As a suggestion, do you have photos from before he did the work?

I know this probably is not what you want to hear right now, but likely if he is not insured and did your floors for cheaper than they should have cost. likely you won’t be able to get any money from him. As I recently learned when I was hit by a car on my motorcycle (I have chosen to no longer ride because of it). i flipped over their car and probably should have broken my neck, but instead, fortunately, I “just” completely broke my hand and wrist. Had to have surgery, now going to PT. It sucks. And, unfortunately, they are completely underinsured. But since they have no assets, we can’t do anything about it. I have a lawyer and everything. If we sue they can just declare bankruptcy :/
