Judge sides with hobby mechanic, shuts down neighbors

[–]DefNotFromTheFuture 7 points 12 hours ago haha, yeah, i think one advantage of being on your own like that is instead of reporting it and going with weeks/years of legal rigmarole, you just feed the deceased attacker to your pigs or something. (note to jury if i'm in a court case like this: I AM JUST KIDDING!!!) permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]greenbottletime 7 points 12 hours ago the sheriff of my home county told my dad to just drag a burglar back inside if you kill him in the yard. no jury there would ever convict you and no cop would ever take the side of some tweaker burglar over a homeowner. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply load more comments (1 reply) load more comments (1 reply) load more comments (3 replies) [–]PM_ME_YOUR_BREWS 18 points 13 hours ago You're less likely to have home invaders on the farm, and also more likely to have guns. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]Xiphoid_Process 8 points 13 hours ago The stars, though! Think of the stars you'd get to see at night! And the home repair garage you could build! permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply load more comments (1 reply) load more comments (9 replies) load more comments (12 replies) load more comments (7 replies) [–]thescrapplekid 8 points 13 hours ago his is in a rural area, he sold off a parcel of his land to her so he could build the garage after being injured permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]So_Full_Of_Fail 12 points 12 hours ago The funniest things to me about their whole complaint is that apparently the one lady's horses produce no smell. Which must make them magical Kim Jong Un no pooping horses. And that it was completely ignored that there is a major chicken farm close enough by to get that lovely smell when the wind eventually wafts it over. But the smells coming from the guy's garage were apparently the only offending odors. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply load more comments (3 replies) [–]They0001 32 points 15 hours ago Funny you mention this; I've had a design for a structure and a very diverse interior for years, just haven't got around to building it yet. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]GOTaSMALL1 43 points 15 hours ago Mine would be about a 100x200 building. One end is a two-story living quarters... maybe 3000sf but shaped to take advantage of exterior windows. The "garage" is next to it... 30-40 wide running the 100' width of the building. Double doors at each end. The rest is divided in half the long way... one side is a carpentry shop the other side is a mechanic shop. Ahhhhh... heaven. permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]mgr86 49 points 15 hours ago Did you see that YouTube video of the guy who set up a giant air plane hanger/metal barn around and old farm house? It reminds me of this idea.
