This ending doesnt track at all for me. When she was talking to Deblanc the last time Kate even said if Leigh was lying she would want to hear his side. Additionally, why is he covered in blood in the first episode.

I get that she " knows full well orphan girls don't get fairytale endings" as said in the description but there are still so many unanswered questions. This is not a digestible ending compared to the way the rest of it was written. It feels really disjointed.

This was my favorite part of the week reading until now and I just feel distrust starting anything else on Manta. More than the money spent on a certain expectation of consistent quality, it's the months spent reading and re reading the piece that now feel wasted. There was no closure and it basically had this huge buildup just to gloss over the most important part and end during what feels like mid-climax. Super disappointing. I'm thinking of canceling the subscription bc I'm there for cheesy happy endings not disappointment in my escapism.

This being said, I hope nothing bad happened to the artist/writer to force this abrupt ending which they are probably not happy with either. This was my favorite story on here bc most of it was compelling and had good pacing and was kinda funny. Mostly I enjoyed it bc I thought they were going to fall in love.
