Yeah I'm confused by how often there are posts where someone mentions they took a year or more to hit 225 on bench. And not trying to be rude to anyone, because everyone is different and has different amounts of time they can commit to working out and access to protein or whatever.

But like... it took me two months to get to benching 225. I'm ~10 months in now and nearly at 315. I'm not some genetic freak. I'm following pretty standard workout practices, including progressive overload, and following the guide of 1g/lb of body weight of protein per day.

It's just such an interesting thing to me that it's getting mentioned so often when it's not really a milestone if you're doing things normally.
