[META] Fun facts about yourself.

  • I have an obsession with history. My speciality is the Eastern Front of WWII.

  • I love tanks and aircraft from the 1920's to the 1970's.

  • Favourite Tank: The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf.E Typical, I know. But it had excellent armour, was quite quick except in boggy terrain, possessed a phenomenal 88mm KwK 36 Cannon of 56 Calibres, and was manufactured to a high quality.

  • Favourite Rifle: The Mauser 98 is the best battle rifle ever developed. With a smooth, strong, and extraordinarily reliable action, an easily loadable 5 round magazine, can be field stripped in thirty seconds with no tools, is accurate to 1000 metres, and is the most produced rifle in history. Over 200 million rifles with a Mauser 98 action have been made so far, and that number is still climbing with clones such as the Remington 700 being used by militaries and law enforcement agencies all over the world. It trumped every rifle until the advent of the M14 in 1959.

  • Favourite Plane: The Bf 109. Most produced fighter in history (approx 35,000 produced), most aircraft shot down, cheap, and preformed superbly until the war's end in 1945.

  • I don't like travelling. Arizona seems to be the only place that has great weather (except August, fuck August), no mosquitoes, really good gun laws (a lack thereof), and you can go from desert to pine forests in a two hour's drive!

  • I shoot in iron sight long range rifle competitions. Smacking steel at 800 metres is immensely satisfying. I don't like scopes, they take all the skill out of it. While I am at it, here is my competition rifle.

  • I also collect firearms from the first 50-60 years of the 20th Century. The M1 Garand is the stupidest thing ever. Love it to death, but damn the loading system is silly.

  • I am tall. Like, 6'6" to 6'7"-ish. To be honest, I stopped caring a while ago.

  • My favourite game of all time is Persona Four Golden or Persona 3 Portable. Both are superb. Vampire The Masquerade- Bloodlines, The Witcher 2, Hearts of Iron III, Victoria II, and Red Orchestra 2 are some of my other favourites.

  • Unlike all of you totalitarian statists, I am a libertarian. As many of you also know, I am also strongly anti-communist. My political compass

  • I am an atheist, although on Reddit this is not really unusual.

  • My favourite "serious" book is either "Achtung! Panzer", "Panzer Leader", or "The Prince".

  • I love /r/vexillology /r/guns and of course /r/worldpowers

  • Not a bad cook if I may say so.

  • Am decent at but dislike small talk. I can discuss the intricacies of anything substantial for hours though.

  • Hate weight lifting, but absolutely love my 5k run I do three to four days a week. I do a 10k from time to time as well. I don't compete though: I like keeping my running as a recreational "sport".

  • I take strange pleasure in reading history textbooks mainly because they are so appallingly bad. Seriously, AP World History is an absolute joke. "Invading Russia was a bad idea, Hitler could have never succeeded." "America won the war for the Allies in Europe." "German tank technology was much more advanced than that of the Allies." Good comedic value. :)

  • My favourite quote from the 20th Century is a Hitler quote. "We need only kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down."

  • Am not a POC. Just an upper(ish) class white guy.

  • That is all I have got. :P
