[UN] 2017 UN General Assembly. Raise issues or make proposals for voting below

Prime Minister Yeoh has the following stances on the already mentioned items:

  • On a New UN Security Council Member: We believe that this is a complicated matter, since while we desire to give it to nation that isn't located in Europe (mostly due to the fact that the West has dominated global affairs during the 20th century, which we believe should be changed), we realize that this also requires a strong military capacity to ensure that there's some actual force behind it. As such, we propose that Malaysia should get the seat; we are an emerging economic power, maintain strong democratic principles, and have among the largest armies in Southeast Asia, an emerging region for growth and development. This is to act as a counter balance to the west in terms of how the world is run.

  • UN: Peacekeeping force: We believe that the situation in Greece has begun to spiral out of control, and as such, are willing to deploy our 4th Reserve Division if such a force is needed.

There are also other topics we would like to address:

  • Laos: The country has fallen into civil war, and one of the factions is a democratic one; we believe that the democratic faction should be recognized as the rightful government of Laos, and deserves international support to ensure future prosperity in the nation.

  • Africa: While the continent has been improving, we feel that more steps need to be taken to ensure prosperity in the region, such as developmental aid in the form of engineers and those that have experience in agriculture and infrastructure. This is different from the traditional "let's send money with no strings attached" approach; given that it would be difficult to "cash out" on engineers, this aid will be difficult to abuse.

That is all we have to say on these matters for now
