Morning Roundtable - 3/19

Honestly, Trump supporters are monsters and they make me hate this country. What they preach is scary, from racism to blatant misogyny, all while trying to hide under the guise of standing up against "politically correct culture." What scares me is that they are so ignorant about the facts, so ignorant to the struggles that people other than themselves must go through, so ignorant about everything. And while I'm no fan of Bernie (I can be seen on /r/enoughsandersspam on occasion), I would absolutely campaign for Bernie over Trump 100%, if something ever happened to Hillary. I cringe every time I see them on /r/The_Donald and they are the embodiment of subreddits like /r/KotakuinAction and /r/whiterights. I just hate to see so many people stand for someone so awful.

To be candid, I feel like Trump himself isn't even that bad a guy compared to his supporters, or that he is truly a racist or believes what he says. In my opinion this rhetoric from Trump is all an act, and he doesn't really believe what he makes his supporters believe. But what truly frightens me is that his supporters jump on that bandwagon even more forcefully than Trump and it shows how easily Americans can be convinced that it's okay to be racist and misogynist. Trump looks moderate when compared to his supporters, and it's one of the reason why I hate Trump so much, that he condones anything his even-more-racist supporters do or say. I'm a white college-aged male, so brigaders, don't assume I'm some feminazi cis trans african-american asexual tumblrista, I'm just telling what worries me about this race. But Trump supporters are cancerous, and it sickens me to see them pop up on /all from time to time
