Morning Roundtable - 7/30

I love/hate when they mention donor concerns. I've been lucky enough to go to some pretty high dollar fundraisers as a volunteer for the campaign here in Austin TX. You know what these big bundlers get? They get to have a party; a surrogate or HRC come talk and a picture.

If they raise a shitload, and I mean an absolute shitload, of money for the party and the campaign they sometimes get invited to 30 minute round tables that happen every few months. Yes some of them are little divas and like to email the campaign with their suggestions or frustrations, but they have no pull; and certainly no direct line to the campaign leaders.

I volunteered at an event that was at the Austin mayor's house. They got to talk to HRC for like 10 minutes. That was it lol. She doesn't mingle with the big donors. They all get in line to take a pic with her while she waits in another room and then she'll go give a little speech for everyone else at the event. People who donate thousands and thousands get like 10 seconds with her. It's something else to watch a room full of people in $5k suits line up with their books and shirts to be signed like they're tweens at a one direction concert.

AMA if you want to know more.
