You are naive if you truly believe he just forgot to mention this. This isn't a court of law, things don't need to have a burden of proof, conjecture is life. We will always be filling in the gaps on our own.

I'm not trying to do anything lol. My "honest", "objective" conclusion can be found in my initial post, that OP should communicate with her boyfriend and say how she feels. I'm not trying to get to the bottom of anything, but it really seems like you are, because if I make any point where there's room for opposition, you immediately jump on it while saying "well, we can never actually know".
