Current season RP system heavily weights placement so you are not necessarily stuck. People have posted similar stats and reached diamond.

K/D is not a precise indicator of skill because people play the game differently. 3 stacks of highly skilled players can inflate each other’s K/D well beyond what they would be solo queuing. Players that play hundreds of ranked games in high rank lobbies are going to have lower K/D than if they stomped pubs all season. Don’t get too caught up comparing K/D because it’s difficult to control for all the variables and it’s not team death match rules where K/D would be king.

However, it can be a decent general measurement of gun skills and game sense related to fighting. If you feel outclassed at your rank then check out some of the firing range practice and other tips on this board and work on mechanical skill in pubs.
