nordo is still up to is old tricks. He has found out my real name, threatened to hack my internet behavior AND dox me to my employer.

I agree. And mods shouldn't be impervious to snappy comments or criticism.

I find it hypocritical that he banned you for that comment, while at the same time, he responded to my comment with "/r/thathappened" which is an equally derisive but PG-rated comment.

In essence, he can say whatever he wants but if you follow the standard he sets forth, he can and will ban you unless you're in his inner circle and if he can muster the support of the 2 level-headed mods (not Chrismont.)

And actually, it's kind of funny how much personal information they make public.

  • They link to the facebook page for /r/birmingham in the sidebar.

  • Neither Chris nor Nordo (Ryan) make any attempts at separating their IRL identity from their online identity (that's risky.)

  • Neither has their profile locked down with any significance. I know more about both of them at this point than they've published on Reddit. I know who they're dating, where they work, where they went to school, where a significant other went to school, where the significant other works, and tons more. All from their public-facing facebook page...

I'd be extra cautious if I were them. With the way that they treat people that they don't like on /r/birmingham, they leave themselves open to some nutcase overreacting and making it personal - and they practically draw a roadmap straight to themselves.

I don't even have to point out what their IRL names are - they're RIGHT THERE ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE! They doxxed themselves, and then they turn around and fan the flames of everyone they don't care for: "If you don't like the way we mod, you can fuck right off."

Someone is going to snap someday and they're going to understand how making all of those personal details public can be a very high risk.
