Is it normal for an REA to lie?

  1. The REA said themselves that it hadn’t gained much interest. I think it’s a fair assumption given that there were very few people at each inspection compared to hundreds of other properties we’ve looked at in other areas.

  2. I think most average house buyers are able to judge what is a well known or desirable area. It’s really not that hard. It’s an area in the middle of no where, with no infrastructure. No one I know has even heard of it. I’ve lived in a suburb nearby for 6 years and only recently heard of it. Houses are on the market for at least 45 days longer than a majority of the other suburbs & towns surrounding it.

  3. For this suburb, I’ve collected data from 90% of the sold listings in the last 12 months. I’ve logged location within the suburb, price guide, plot size, etc and the value that each house sold for. So yeah, I do have all that information. It was pretty easy to get too.
