Norman Wildberger — Discussion Thread

Please, please, please have him discuss floating points in the next show. I get so much anxiety watching him in action sometimes as he's walking/dawning this razor's edge in pure math. But, it's easy for people to discount such a historically driven perspective like his. He's a prodigy of math history, and that's what he's bringing to the table along with his professional field opinion and experience.

The fact that he was on your show says so much. It's great!

I think the word truncate is very powerful. We shouldn't call these (semi-)irrational values approximations; we should call them truncations, in order to keep everyone happy and on the same music sheet.
