No, we never felt threatened at all. She was very good with family, and when strangers came, she just ran out to the backyard and made a loud weird ugly noise that was halfway between a bark and a howl. We had a German exchange student visit us for three weeks, and she always ran out there and park howl when he came upstairs.

In the interest of full disclosure, she did get into a fight with a dog who came onto our property aggressively. And she killed that dog.
