Owners of the wireless Elecom Deft Pro (M-DPT1MRXBK), can you use the trackball with two computers (in a manner of speaking)?

I have two PCs side by side, one running Win10 and the other runs Linux. I prefer the tools and command line on the linux box for programming work but I also need to use the Adobe suite. Why not use a mac? Not a fan, and I also routinely run Windows only programs, and don't really want to use wine or anything.

My solution is pretty... strange I guess. I got 3 2-way HDMI switchers one for each display and one of these A/B usb switching boxes. I took them apart and put them in a small box for hobby circuits and wired them all up to switch at once when a sliding switch is toggled. Mounted the switch inside my desk right by the keyboard.

Now if it's switched to the right, all 3 screens show the windows PC, and the trackball, mouse, graphics tablet, and keyboard all command that PC. Switch the other way and all peripherals control the Linux box and all displays switch to the linux machine.

It takes about 1 second for all the HDMI signals to be detected but all USB devices are instantly detected. The PC's are on a network with an external NAS I use to quickly move files around between systems. My workflow isn't interrupted at all and I find this MUCH better than my previous setup of having an extra mouse and keyboard sitting around. No software to deal with, no mousing out of screen to swap to a differnet one (like synergy and some logic mice can do). Just a simple physical switch.
