May someone explain to me the argument of Gen I - V being 'Real Pokemon' well VI - VIII stray farther from "Being Pokemon"?

Additionally what is with the 'too much dialogue' complaint like have these people never played any other RPG? Here is an example:

To me Pokemon Yellow is real Pokemon , Gen one - I'd say Gen five is real Pokemon to me and I feel that they started straying farther away Gen six onward. I miss when text was limited so GF had to use the space wisely, look at Blue or Silver or even N that is what made them standout now GF thinks writing a textbook while saying nothing is better and I don't feel that. Its the reason I hated Hop in SwSh he NEVER SHUTS UP! Actually every character in SwSh never shuts up, Christ you don't have to explain every minor detail like this is a J. R. R. Tolkien novel. Specifically when its Hop telling us about his 'legend' nobody cares about or everyone noting how easy lost Leon is like he is the male version of Lillie...by the way GF way to make the champion a threat guys...
