The Phantom Apprentice is the fourth best television episode of all time

It's a fair question. I want to start by saying that this episode was well done, almost perfectly constructed. There is nothing wrong with this episode and I am not saying anything negative about it. With that disclaimer out of the way, I think, for me, it didn't have enough emotional punch to be considered one of the greatest episodes of all time. It was action-driven, and there's nothing wrong with that, but to me that isn't as compelling as character-driven episodes. It was perfectly executed for what they were trying to do, so again, not bagging on it. It's just other than the split second that Ahsoka considers joining Maul, there's no movement of either character, emotionally. Both she and Maul are in essence unchanged by the events of the episode. And again, there's nothing wrong with that, I just think the best episodes are the ones that have events that the characters will carry with them for life. So, great episode, but not in my top 5 of all time.
