Props to NW dhall gamer

Sup. I'm the gamer guy. My friend found this on reddit and tossed it to me so I figured I would share why I play there. Last semester my laptop's hard drive failed during finals and I had just my Ipad to play games on so I wouldn't lose my sanity. I took over that same table for huge amounts of time and my friends would stop by, sit down and eat. I actually really liked it so I decided this semester that I would just keep doing it. Sorry if it sucks for some people that they don't get the big table but I for some reason actually have a lot of people that come over and chill so the space does get used just not all the time. I go there mainly to bring my friends together, but I'm more than happy to welcome short visitors. I make it pretty clear that you should not feel socially pressured to stay as if I want you to sit and talk to me for the forsaken 4-8 hours I spend there. Sometimes I can be pretty bad at conversation as games are a big part of my life so that ends up being the bulk of my materials but hell if you want to talk about games or even ask for opinions/ a critique about them I'm more than happy to chat and have discussions. I'm not big on reddit so at that table is probably the best place.

I actually view games as a very important medium in our society that is currently dragging through its teen years like comic books and television went through at one point.

I play basically everything that isn't car racing, actual sports or airplanes. I just recently got back to playing some Runescape because the MMO world is having a rough life. I will say that my Starcraft skills are garbage but I did enjoy the game when it first came out. I play games from league of legends to team fortress 2 and I'm actually currently working on getting a stream set up for myself after spring break as I actually really want to interact with random people and talk about games. So hopefully I have that up and running by then.

I have also been considering doing "Tavern Hour" from 3-4pm where there is mainly nobody at the NW dining hall and playing a massive list of tavern music but I decided against it as it would probably be annoying to people. Might have been more inviting for people to come sit down though.

Anyway that's it for my little ramble. Its actually really nice to see a few people that like what I was doing. I figured for the most part I got looked down on but maybe that isn't quite the case.
