Yup. There are videos where a robbery is attempted, and the robber is shot. But the defender/shooter then flees the scene, leaving the robber dying or dead. They may be a real gangster or they may just be a defender who is violating gun laws. But they don't stick around to talk to any police. They handled business themselves.

There is a Brasil video in a gas station, where a driver standing at a car sees the motorcycle robber duo arriving. He waits long enough to make 100% sure that is what they are doing, then shoots them both. He then gets in his car and leaves lol. This video should be easy to find, it has been posted lots of places. Ends up with a large crowd and police present. And two dead robbers.
