The Quizzical Plainstriders

OOC comments will be marked like so.

I knock on the door to her chambers, the door wrenching open. For such a tiny little thing, she certainly commands a presence.

"What?"

"The- uh. The interview. The one you agreed to?"

She glares at me, like I can turn back the clock and cancel the appointment, before heaving a sigh and stepping aside. "Come in."

Name: 'Arlinani Enansal'

Age: 'Twenty-five'

Race: She raises an eyebrow at me, and I quietly scribble 'elf'.

Nameday (if known): 'The 7th of Firstfall'

Birthplace: 'Oh, somewhere in the wilds of Antiva.'

MBTI type: INFP

Class: Rogue

Specialization(s): Tempest

Religion: 'I suppose I follow the Elven gods.'

So, who is Arlinani?: 'I... what? I don't think I understand? I'm a woman, an elf. Ah, the Serpent's Tongue.'

When did they join The Silent Plainstriders?: 'Officially? The 22nd of Drakonis.'

What did they do before The Silent Plainstriders?: 'Well, I was with the clan for most of my life. Then I came to Nevarra, wandered around doing odd jobs for coin. Nothing really interesting.' She fidgets in her seat, clearly uncomfortable.

Why did they join The Silent Plainstriders?: She's silent for a long time, staring out the window. I start to gather my things when she finally responds, '...To make someone proud.'

Do they have many fond memories of their life before The Silent Plainstriders?: 'The hunts. Singing with Mamae, and Sam.' A faint smile crosses her face, 'She always had a better singing voice.'

Is there anything they miss from their previous experiences?: 'The forest. The solitude. The lack of responsibility.'

Which of the four sections of the Silent Plainstriders do they identify with?: 'Well it would have to be the tongue, considering.'

What is their signature weapon?: She brandishes ornately carved daggers made of ivory.

What is their signature move?: 'Distract. I can handle a one-on-one fight, but my main goal is crowd control.'

Do the ends justify the means?: 'It depends on the end. Sacrificing the lives of the few for the good of the many and all that? No.'

Is it better to be chivalrous and lose, or sneaky but win?: 'In combat? I'm the last person to describe as chivalrous.'

Would they rather take orders, give orders, or do their own thing?: She shrugs, uneasy again. 'I give direction if it's needed.'

How would they deal with an ambush?: She's glaring again. Moving on.

How would they react to a thief?: 'The last thief I encountered I welcomed into the Striders.'

How would they react to a large threat (i.e-Ogre)?: 'Run.'

Closest friends in The Silent Plainstriders: 'Sam, Suledin, Helena, Tira, Tyvas.'

Mortal enemies: 'I don't believe I have any.'

What do they do when not on duty?: She laughs, 'I'm never off duty.'

Do they have any other talents?: 'Ah, none come to mind.'

What do they like to drink?: 'Wine.'

Treasured material possessions: 'My stuffed rabbit.'

Santinalia wishlist: 'Ah, some more books? Perhaps a better quill.'

Any other hobbies?: 'Reading, getting out of the mansion however I can.'

Pick four words to describe your character: Stubborn, short-tempered, open-hearted, trusting.

What is your character's greatest flaw?: She leans forward, elbows on her desk, 'I have no fucking idea what I'm doing.'

What is your character’s greatest weakness?: I'm not asking again. She's armed.

If your character was tempted/tortured by a demon, how would it get to them?: 'Mamae.'

What would they think if they found out they were actually controlled by some higher force?: 'I'd wonder why my life is such a mess. You'd think a higher force would have an idea what they were doing.'

Mages or templars?: 'Neither.'

Circle or anti-Circle?: 'The circles need change, that much is clear.'

Reformed templars or none what-so-ever?: 'Reformed.'

Opinions on blood magic: 'Useful, but dangerous.'

Opinions on spirits and demons: 'I would have once said they're only a danger, but Vigil seems to be doing okay.'

Nobles or commoners?: 'Commoners. What sort of question is that?'

Opinions on the Dalish: 'We need some changes, but we're doing alright.'

Opinions on the Qun: 'I will never understand bowing to the whims of a book.'

Opinions on the Chantry: 'The concept is fine, but they use it to cow the masses into doing their will. It's corrupt.'

Would they join the Inquisition?: 'Likely not. I'm needed here.'

Do they approve of The Warden’s actions (based on Plainstriders canon)?: 'Yes. The warden deserves his title as paragon.'

Do they approve of Hawke’s actions?: 'Anders should have been dealt with.'
