Reverse Chance Me - International w/ Aid (Already Applied for Class of 2022) • r/ApplyingToCollege

I'd like to point out that this outcome does not imply anything for anyone. If I truly was a competitive applicant, then I would like to think I fell to the luck of the draw. Whatever happened, however, is not something I can know and honestly, not something I'd like to find about or even care enough to do so because I'd only be hurting myself. To anyone else win the same boat, remember that this doesn't matter. You got in where you were meant to go and you're going to succeed regardless. I know it's tough to convince yourself that; believe me, I struggled with it for a long time. Ultimately, though, it is true. I mean, people have done wonders without degrees. No one's gonna ask you about a piece of paper you earned 10 years down the line. It is purely your work ethic, your talent, your conviction, and your unwavering passion that will determine how your future pans out and if you're able to retain those traits despite all the highs and lows, you'd have done plenty to be proud of.

To all the future applicants, by all means, work towards an acceptance. Try your hardest but don't ever beat yourself up over it. That's the worst thing you can do. Don't let the thrill of an acceptance entirely consume because IF it doesn't work out, the sting would be without compare. Bottom line, don't sweat it. Enjoy life. Work super hard but don't let it narrate your tale. Good luck!
