All the posts talking about how shitty the game is just don't seem to want to take the time to remap the controls, or try the way to play that the Devs recommended, which was a gamepad, Xbox one controller in particular.

Couple of things.

1) Bear in mind you can only return games with less than 2 hours of playtime - but it takes almost an hour to rebind this game's controls to something functional and test them (and even then, it still feels weird). At that point, that remaining hour becomes a 30-dollar liability that most people don't want to risk because of the bad taste in their mouth.

2) PC players don't necessarily have gamepads. I do, but that's only because I play fighting games as well. MKB is (to most people) a superior control scheme to gamepads.

I've had two friends refund this game due to the control scheme, and neither of them are particularly picky. They just don't have 30 bucks to throw around on a whim.

As a personal aside, RGO has the worst controls of ANY game I've played since I started gaming with Mechwarrior 2. I'm not saying that because it's fresh in my mind, that's not me using hyperbole, that's the truth.
