                          EnDARk Rules

Welcome to EnDArk server! We have a listing of rules to help encourage our server to be fair to all players, pvp and pve. The spirit of this server is to allow players to enjoy ark on a PvPvE rule set, yet to foster a community where the mindset is not to treat the game as a glorified Rust with dinos. If you are a player looking to cause havoc or a large tribe looking to become an abusive alpha tribe, please look elsewhere. That being said PvP is permitted with guidelines below in the rules.

General Rules and Notes:

• Avoid building turrets around 50/50, quetzals in particular have a tendency to land there unconscious during taming. Some known Ark glitches will also port players from one side of the map to 50/50. • Be respectful to others on the server – hate speech will not be tolerated at all. Trolling can be a fun for many people, but please use common sense when doing so. Excessive verbal abuse and personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you have a personal issue with someone, please keep the arguing to a minimal in global chat and tribe. Handle it off server if possible. • Do not use game/mod glitches to gain advantages in the game. Please keep things fair. • Certain areas may be blocked off by admins. Anyone caught circumventing these blocked off areas risk getting banned. For example, there is a cave Ark recently implemented that has an area that gives out free items that at this time give tribes too large of an advantage over other tribes. Additionally, there are areas on the map that are known glitch areas and the admins may help try to reduce problems by blocking these areas off as they come across them. • This is another known glitch on the Center map that involves tamed dinos disappearing for good as soon as a player goes out of render distance or logging out. So far, the one connection we can find with this glitch is areas that say “Can’t place (so and so): Can’t place structure here” when you are trying to place a structure down. Carrying a pillar or a wood foundation around with you may be a good practice to get into if you value your dinos. • Please do not claim areas using foundations, pillars, etc. If this is where a player will be setting up shop, then it is understandable. But if these “claimed areas” seem to have no activity on them after a time, they may be removed by admins, and players may covet that area as well and destroy them. • Keep our server clean. Any unused bases and structures of your tribe, please demolish. Same goes for taming pens that are outside your base walls. Destroy all TAMING PENS and SPIKES as you are finished with them. Admins may destroy any structures deemed unused. • THIS IS A PVP SERVER. We have rules specifically for raiding, but open world pvp outside of bases is completely allowed. • EXCESSIVE GRIEFING will be looked upon with critical eyes from the Admins. • Killing of tamed dinos is allowed. Protect your dinos. Players need to keep in mind that this can easily fall under excessive griefing if a tribe/player takes it too far. (Admin discretion)

PVP / RAID RULES – VERY IMPORTANT TO READ! If the admins interpret raid or war activities to be against the spirit of the server OR intended to wipe a server, they are at liberty to take appropriate actions.

• NEW PLAYERS: Abuse and raiding of new players/tribes on the server is not allowed. There is no specific time frame that a player is immune to raiding and this rule will be a hard one to enforce, though the general consensus is a week but not set in stone. Thatch is a definitely not allowed, if there is a large thatch base in question, please ask an Admin for approval. There is a difference between a small wood/stone/metal base that recently popped up with a couple of dinos outside and a basic wall defense (if any), and a large wood/stone base with several dinos etc. • CAPTIVES: Players may be kidnapped, shackled, caged, etc. by other players for a duration of 1 hour. While kidnapped, the kidnapped player needs to refrain from logging off. We understand stuff happens, like going link dead or pc crashes, real life emergencies or work, but it is in bad taste to try to "fake" it as an excuse to log off and the player may find themselves still caged with approval, upon logging back in. • RAIDING: the goal of this server is to create an enjoyable environment for all. While it is a PvPvE rules server, we have decided to construct some rules and guidelines around base raiding and all-out war.
1. Once a structure is damaged in a raid, a 3 hour timer begins. The attacking tribe has only 3 hours to do additional structure damage. At the end of 3 hours, no more damage is allowed within reason. If you are already inside a breached base and need to damage containers to continue looting, this is permitted. If you damage a wall to get to more loot; that is not permitted. You are not allowed to do any structure damage after your 3 hour timer is up for the next three days, and please refrain from griefing the tribe during this 3 day period to allow them to rebuild. In cases of a raid with defenders, some pvp can commence after the 3 hour time limit. 2. Some tribes have more than one base and the 3 hour timer applies to this as well. You have 3 hours to conduct your raid on any of their bases. Tribes may raid one, or attempt to raid all, you have 3 hours to do this. Outer defenses count as structures during raids, if a tribe destroys a wall or spikes surrounding the tribe’s area, raid timer starts. If a tribe destroys a plant turret PLOT, or an auto turret, raid timer starts. See rule #6 for structures that do not count towards a raid timer. 3. Do not wipe an entire base off the map. Many things get damaged during raids to achieve your goals, but if a tribe is found guilty of doing extremely unnecessary damage in order to try to wipe a tribe out, or in general, that is not allowed. (Admin discretion) 4. Common strategy of players and tribes is to hide loot inside their dinos to help protect it from raids. Due to this, killing of dinos is allowed. The killing of many dinos is often highly frowned upon by others. Please try to refrain from complete massacres of a tribe’s dinos. 5. Tribes may not raid more than 2 bases in a 7 day period. If you raid a base on a Monday, and a base on a Friday, you can NOT raid a third base until 7 more days have passed. Abandoned bases do not follow this rule and can be raided at any time. Exercise caution in labeling a base abandoned.
6. Rafts, platform saddles, and greenhouses DO NOT start a raid timer. These can be destroyed at any time. Walls and other structures located outside of a tribe’s main base can be destroyed without starting a raid timer. For example, a tribe has a cave blocked off with a behemoth gate so that only they can have access to certain resources, players may destroy these to gain access as long as it is not a base. Water pens that are separate from a tribes main bases also do not start a raid timer, but honestly just plain rude to do so. Players may destroy structures suspected of being set up for purpose of raiding, you have the right to defend your land BUT if you make a mistake and it was actually a new players starter base you will be in violation of breaking the new player rule and possibly other rules.
7. OFFLINE RAIDING IS ALLOWED. Frowned upon, but allowed. 8. NO RAIDS DURING ADMIN SPONSORED EVENTS. It is up to a player to find out if any events are being held. 9. NO RAIDING FROM WITHIN YOUR TRIBE OR AGAINST ALLIED TRIBES. If you decide you want to start your own tribe, you only get what the owner says you can take with you and screenshotting said statements is in your best interest. Everyone takes a risk when in a tribe with others, not everyone will get along. Please try to settle these issues responsibly. Taking advantage of a tribe alliance to get past an allied tribes defenses is NOT ALLOWED. 10. In cases of restarts/crashes, please do not kill sleepers immediately after server is back up. Allow them at the very least 5 minutes to log in before resuming combat or slaughtering them. This rule is very important during raids and in general pvp. • WAR: War can be declared by one tribe onto another but must be mutually agreed upon. War needs to be declared and communicated to the admins by BOTH parties involved or however many tribes are involved. War means war, nothing is off limits between the warring parties TO EACH OTHER. For the next 24 hours ANY activities between the warring parties is allowed. If tribes wish for a period of longer than 24 hours, speak to an admin. PVP is still allowed for other tribes not in the war, but do not take any raid actions on other tribes not a part of the war, and other players may not raid warring tribes. Utilizing WAR to avoid being raided by other tribes is not allowed and can be cancelled at any time by Admins.

ADMINS: The admins on this server are friendly and helpful. They will remain neutral to any server politics. That being said, Admins are allowed to open world PVP and DEFEND what is theirs. An admin may join another tribe for a time period to help another tribe with farming. Admins will not bring anything of their stuff to help except perhaps a dinosaur or two. Admins are players too, but they have a code of conduct they must follow at all times, regardless of what tribe they are currently in, but are allowed to have fun as well just as any other player. Raiding of admin personal bases is allowed but destruction or damage to admin event structures or areas blocked off by admins is not allowed.

RULES---ADMINS AND OWNER DECIDE WHEN A RULE HAS BEEN BROKEN. ANY COMPLAINTS CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE ADMINS DIRECTLY FOR INVESTIGATION OR TO THE FORUMS AS WELL. COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ADMINS CAN BE TAKEN TO THE FORUMS OR TO THE OWNER ENPHORCER_DAN. PUNISHMENTS FOR RULE BREAKING CAN RANGE BETWEEN VERBAL WARNINGS, 24 HOUR BANS (OR LONGER), OR PERMA BANS. EACH SITUATION MAY WARRANT A DIFFERENT PUNISHMENT EVEN IF FOR SAME RULE BASED ON THE ENTIRE SITUATION AT HAND. ADMINS WILL JUDGE IMPARTIALLY AND JUSTLY BASED ON THE OCCURANCE.
