US and Russia agree missile that struck Poland was Ukrainian air defence

Do you even live in Britain? Did you learn anything from history class?

Should the UK have negotiated with Hitler during the Blitz?

Bombing of civilian infrastructure has NEVER (very important you understand what the bolded word means) pushed people to the negotiating table, in fact it achieves the complete opposite. It strengthens civilian resolve.

They’re also going to find it increasingly hard to take back territory now that the Russians have dug in, with a much higher human cost to them.

That is such a load of absolute horse shit. The Russians have "been dug in" since the start of the war. Ukraine has pushed them back in every direction.

Russian logistics is its Achilles heel, no amount of digging in will stop Russian logistics from being the main targets Ukraine goes after.

You cant defend a defensive position without food or ammo. Thats why Kherson was able to be taken, because Ukraine has been targeting Russian GLOCs and Russia literally cant keep its men on the front in any meaningful way without constantly supplying them with food and ammo (the stuff you need to live and defend yourself with).

For the point of view of the West, this war has made us all poorer, even the Americans, thanks to rising energy costs and inflation, without even factoring in the billions we have spent on weapons.

Yes, and the vast majority of westerners understand that if Russia is not entirely defeated here, then it will continue until it is attacking NATO.

Either we stop it here or WW3 is all but guaranteed.

Our sanctions regime has also caused a realignment, strengthening the ties between BRICS nations and pushing nations like Saudi Arabia to align more with them.

BRICS countries are irrelevant on the world stage. People have been squawking about them for 3 decades, they are still developing and nowhere near anything approaching developed or rich.

The fact you even think dictatorships and fundamentally unstable countries can even become developed is actually funny too me. Do you even understand why no non-democracy is a highly developed nation?

and pushing nations like Saudi Arabia to align more with them

Saudi Arabia's only benefit to the world is producing oil and gas which America also produces. Meanwhile America is also the largest food producer on the planet, the largest military industrial complex and the basis for the worlds reserve currency. Nothing will remove America from its dominating super power status (unless its nuked or something crazy like that), and thus the west will remain the hegemon.

And every day it goes on there is a risk of a situation like happened yesterday where we could enter World War 3, which would almost certainly end up as a nuclear war.

Yes it is a risk we have to take to ensure that WW3 definitely doesnt happen after Russia finishes with genociding Ukrainians.

So why should we perpetuate a war that makes us poorer and less secure, if there is another option?

"We" aren't perpetuating anything. We are supplying Ukraine with the means to defend itself from evil fascism; something any self respecting morally righteous person should understand.
