SANS Sucks

I forgot the best part of my opinion based dream - with no index, you wont be using them for quick reference or much reference I would imagine. That is why I am primary for a large company for many things that would align to SANS training I had but they - much later still sit in boxes in my garage they landed in from the airport. If SANS cared, the books would be a easy source of future reference. It's faster to google a subject and get to the point then flip though a bunch of phonebooks looking like a tool.- ymmv. The only reason I would take them out of the boxes is if i wanted to show off I have a lot of SANS books. Which I don't because no one really cares in the places I worked - issues going on? Wait boss I know it's in one of these 6 UN-indexed books somewhere for one class I took - come back in a hour. If you don't agree - I don't care, I might reach a few and save them some money if they are thinking about paying for it themselves by volunteering etc. Nothing like putting in 16+hr days and being yelled at that the ICE cream was for students only for days before the magic ice cream day! So was the coffee and soda - it "was all counted." "we laughed at what greed hogs SANS was and tore the coffee and ice cream up." They did have classes written by the best instructors and SANS makes sure you cant use the material for quick reference. And 16+ hours and you paying to be a grunt you still get yelled at as a group about icecream and soda and coffee. Greed. Btw, I'm not but hurt - I landed a lot of SANS certs - I am just saying why for me it opened no doors and resume screen people know to look for CISSP. Which you can pass by buying the official CISSP book. I did not give SANS money for CISSP training nor would I, read the book a few times - save some money in my opinion based dream.

Any reference to any company called SANS or GIAC is purely based on a opinionated dream and should not be considered.
