I'm not going to act like I'm some avid birdwatcher or anything, but I've never seen a bird in or near the garden that I couldn't recognise. This fellow just weirded the hell out of me, the colour of the feathers and it's relative inactivity are the main reason I think it's an old bird. the lack of any prominent colour made it especially difficult for me to recognise, the only colour coming through was some blue on it's feathers similarly to a jay. it's beak didn't resemble a jay at all though.

It seemed to like the spot it chose since it sat there for a good 20 minutes, it didn't move even when I was at about .5 meter away from it.
