Any ideas? Miami, FL

They outcompete native species, and raid nests of native species. They also are very aggressive towards native birds and often push them out of territories previously occupied by native birds.

Note that many of our native, non-invasive species do all of these things.

Mynas are not expanding in the US. They’re not the dominant species anywhere in the US. They are not invasive in Florida. They live in small scattered populations, primarily outcompeting other parking lot obligates.

They made your top 100 because they’re invasive in other environments, other places on earth. In Fiji they’re a menace, for example. But in the US, their environmental effect is minimal.
