Guys, this isn't the staff's first rodeo, I'd assume. They are aware that people are going to bring things they shouldn't. Most people are probably going to try to smuggle in liquor or extra alcohol. Some may smuggle in other things. It's not like that staff will read this post and think, maybe we need to get dogs now.

But yes, no one really know what to expect since it's the first year. From experience, there's no way they can check every car. And most of the time if they do check they are looking for weapons and large amounts of things you're not supposed to have(illegal or not).

I would be more concerned with getting there with anything you want to bring that's illegal, than actually getting stuff in. Drive a reasonable speed, and avoid putting huge "I'm going to Lost Lands" things on your car. That will just attract attention while you're driving. Otherwise just pack a personal amount of whatever you want to bring, bury it in a bag, so if it's opened it's not the first thing they see. And you should be fine.
