To continue the discussion regarding experimentation:

I simulated a communications failure by shutting the dedicated breaker to the EM530.

I was very happy to see the charge rate in my vehicle almost immediately drop to 0A, and slowly creep up and stay at 6A.

I'll add my findings to my build blog so anyone in the future can be well aware of all things related to my install.

It was a bit of a challenge navigating through my install process without more concrete knowledge/documentation. So far I must say that wallbox has an excellent product here, but time will tell. Their marketing and documentation department could certainly, easily step it up for the North American market.

All that said, WiFi connectivity seems to continue to be an issue. (As per discussions I've read)... I have an Ubiquiti Wi-Fi 6 Lite Access Point in the garage mere metres from the Wallbox so I know signal strength isn't an issue. If I need to split my 5ghz/2.4ghz into separate SSIDs to rectify this, I'll be disappointed.
