Slayer Rotation for PvE and PvP?

You have initiators and chaining skills. You start with initiators, and chain into chaining skills. Initiators in order of importance (if they're all off CD, use them in this order, and once you're done with a chain start at the beginning of the list again if possible):

  1. Heart Thrust
  2. Whirlwind, Knockdown Strike
  3. Stunning Backhand, Startling Kick

Chain (chain in this order, every time, after using an initiator; if you can't do one because it's on cooldown, skip to the next thing on the list):

  1. Overhand Strike
  2. Eviscerate
  3. Overhand Strike
  4. Measured Slice

Sometimes, you may want to cut the chain short by going 1->4, or even shorter 2->4, if you're going to need to dodge or the boss is turning around (since you want to offload all your good stuff on its back).

Mana regen:

  1. Tenacity
  2. Triumphant Shout
  3. Combo Attack

Gap closing (in no particular order):

  1. Leaping Strike (can then follow it up with your chain, assuming you leaped to the boss's back and will be close enough to hit it with your chain)
  2. Headlong Rush (recommended to follow up with Whirlwind, since it's the longest animation you have and quite good damage--you can also HlR->WW without going anywhere, just if you want to WW next and want it faster)
  3. Backstab (also an invulnerability frame, mostly only use this to avoid an attack when you have no dodges left)
  4. Distant Blade
  5. Dash (doesn't move you, but useful for increasing movement speed)

Other skills:

  • Overpower should be used before Heart Thrust as much as possible, and not before anything else. It only applies to the first hit of Whirlwind, so it's not worth it there.
  • In Cold Blood should be used when the boss is being fairly stationary and you have nearly full MP.
  • Exhausting Blow: What is this?
  • Fury Strike: See previous

Other general considerations: * Use nostrums, ex "Nostrum of Energy V." These can be purchased from any regular merchants. They decrease cooldowns and therefore decrease the amount of time you're standing there doing nothing, or just filler abilities. * If you have nothing else to do, use your Combo Attacks. This should not ever happen, provided that you are using nostrums. You should not ever be standing there doing nothing. Combo Attacks do very little, but at least it's something, and it helps with mana.
