I can do whatever the fuck I feel like really, and all you really have to stop me is to take away arbitrary internet points known as karma from me (ironically which I have much more of despite being a redditor for much less time). Goes to show that you're real helpful white knighting instead of providing useful knowledge. Feel free to do so as much as you'd like, downvote my internet points that is, if it makes you feel better. I'd suggest stop the white knighting though, although you can keep doing that if you so wish.

I can be an asshole if I feel like it, and I can be nice if I feel inclined to as well. What usually happens though is I give information out in a snarky fashion when stupid questions are asked in cases such as this one, and IDGAF what strangers think, take it or leave it. I mean, you can "sure buddy" me again but the fact is that you're white knighting a stranger.

I deal with people IRL in this way too, if you were going to say some stupid thing like "you only act like that on the internet due to anonymity". It's worked for me. Be competent at what you do, have common sense, and nothing else really matters. If I help a newb does it benefit me in any way? Not really. If he wants to listen and take some shit for asking a few questions he could learn something though.

Surprisingly, only very few people think I'm an asshole in real life because in real life people actually think a bit before they do shit. The new guy that complains about his job being shit and hard whilst doing the entire thing incompetently, nobody likes. He's the guy that everyone thinks is the asshole and hates.

So yeah, you can continue sitting here white knighting a stranger and calling me an asshole. The fact remains that although I no longer really post on this subreddit because it's mostly stupid questions of the day now. However, I've contributed way more knowledge than you have in your lifetime, so you can sit on that for awhile.
