In my opinion the DeFi craze, just like ICO craze will pass. I can see similarities when everyone and their mother are making tokens for decentralized applications which nobody actually needs (or uses them) and are only good for speculation. We aren't even at the phase where crypto can be used as a currency, and people have these grandiose ideas of what this ecosystem will be like in the future.

It's like people in the 60s talking about what the Mars spacebase will look like before we even got to the moon.

The crypto space is great at developing solutions which solve non-existent problems, or simply are in itself a solution looking for a problem. Crypto needs to learn to walk first, before it can learn to drive.
