Third graders at Newark's charter schools are on average twice as likely to be reading on grade level than third graders in district schools

Charter Schools were created to give parents a choice to send their kids who are often harassed and beaten by the trash students in the public schools for daring to perform better than they do. You have no right to force a good student to be in the presence of trash students. You have no right to deny that student their fertility for a different venue where they can flourish without fear of the future felons in their midst. I don't care how this comes across. I went to school in Newark. I attended Elliott st school, I went to Broadway junior high (Now LMMarin) I went to Burnett Street school and finally Arts High School where I graduated in 1992!

I dealt with trash students in my midst for 9 years. 9 years, because they were all kicked out in freshman year from Arts High School for not maintaining the grade.
