TIL There are 4 cards in Hearthstone that reference the players in World of Warcraft.

Fiery Bat is also a reference to Firebat, the first Hearthstone World Championship winner.

Doomsayer is a reference to a certain stereotype of posters on online forums, who would always herald the end of the game due to some issue they had with the game.

There are also plenty of indirect references to players:

Patient Assassin is based on the popular World of Warcraft Rogue player class. "Gankers" would hide in a spot and then ambush an unsuspecting player.

Master of Disguise is based on in-game World of Warcraft items that would transform your character model into that of another.

Summoning Portal is used by World of Warcraft Warlock class players to summon allies in their party to a specific location for a group challenge.

Summoning Stone is also used for the same purpose as Summoning Portal, but was added later into the game's development to remove the dependency for a Warlock to properly organize a dungeon group by having a permanent summoning portal standing outside every dungeon entrance.

Target Dummy is also an item crafted by the Engineer Profession in World of Warcraft, also found inside major cities as a means for players to practice their damage output and ability rotations for dungeons.

Jeeves is also an item crafted by the Engineer Profession in World of Warcraft, who would appear when used and repair the player's broken equipment.

Blingtron 3000 is also an item crafted by Engineer Profession in World of Warcraft, who would give gifts to the players once a day.

Piloted Sky Golem was an Engineer crafted player mount, which players could ride and fly in. Since players were always considered great heroes, a "random legendary" is also a reference to the player riding the mount when killed.

There are even more references, but most of them are vague/related to a specific quest in the game.
